Summary:
Twins Sera and Luke Raine have a well-kept secret—she heals with a touch of her hand, he sees the future. All their lives they’ve helped those in need on the sly. They’ve always thought of their abilities as being a gift.

Then Luke has a vision that Sera is killed. That gift they’ve always cherished begins to feel an awful lot like a curse. Because the thing about Luke’s ability? He’s always right. And he can’t do anything about it.

4/5

This was a really fun and exciting read that offered a fresh take on the whole paranormal genre. It tells the story of twins Sera and Luke who are gifted with the ability to heal (Sera) and see the future (Luke). They have lived there whole lives keeping their gifts a secret, which results in them having no close friends apart from Fey and Quinn.
I loved Sera and Luke. They were such a cute and fun pair. They really love each other, trusting each other more than anyone else, feeling like they are the one person. I don't think I've read any other books with such a strong sibling relationship before, especially twins. They really were a force to be reckoned with. They tease each other constantly, always joking back and forth, but when it comes down to it, they would put their lives on the line to protect the other. Sera was so sweet and caring, always wanting to help those in need and never saying no to those who ask for her help. Luke was sweet and funny, but also very determined and would stop at nothing to protect his sister.
Fey I really liked. She was such a good friend to Sera and Luke, fiercely protective of them and loyal right to the end. Quinn on the other hand I felt didn't contribute anything to the story. We only see him twice or three times and so I didn't really see why he was in the story. We do learn something about him at the end of the story, which I can't say because it would be spoilery. Even though Sera and Luke say that Quinn and Fey are the only friends they have, Quinn is hardly ever with them, it's always just them and Fey.
We are also introduced to a whole host of other characters along the way. Jonas and Marc were great, I loved hearing about them, but I liked Jonas more. Marc I did feel for throughout the story and I did like him in the beginning but come the end I just couldn't believe what he did and said. I could understand where he was coming from but I just thought what he said to Sera was horrible. Jonas on the other hand I started out wary of but after a while I began to warm up to him. I can't wait to see more from him.
The story-line was very interesting and fast-paced. It kept me engaged throughout and not once was I bored. It was well written, had great character development and had enough romance to keep me wanting more. The story is told in alternating POVs. Now I have a sort of love/hate relationship with multiple POVs but in this case I think it worked really well, contributing greatly to the overall story. It switches back and forth between Sera, Luke, Fey, Jonas and Marc so we got to see a lot of different aspects. I loved hearing everyones side of the story.

Overall this was a great read that had everything I look for in a book. Action, suspense, romance, a host of paranormal beings, fantastic and interesting characters and a plot that will have you hooked. I look forward to seeing what is in store for the twins in the next installment.
